‘Volunteering with Age Concern Neath Port Talbot has helped me turn my life around. I met new friends, learnt new skills and was able to have a new take on life. Volunteering was a breath of fresh air and helped me gain employment as a Political Officer for Wales for the Alzheimer Society and I still volunteer for Age Concern Neath Port Talbot when I can. Thank you Age Concern Neath Port Talbot’ HJ
‘I relocated back to the Neath area, but started to feel quite lonely so decided to volunteer. Since becoming a volunteer for Age Concern Neath Port Talbot my life has been enriched. I am now part of a wonderful team which has brought a whole new purpose to my life. I volunteer as a Welfare Benefits Advisor and love helping people with their various problems – it really is so rewarding’. MH
‘After retiring, my doctor suggested I take up volunteering as I was beginning to feel depressed. Since volunteering as a receptionist for Age Concern Neath Port Talbot I feel as though I’m contributing to society again and I’m now so busy I don’t have time to work!’ BW
