Community Development Officer - Community Outreach Services
Job Purpose:
This project aims to ensure those experiencing the highest levels of disadvantage, isolation, loneliness and deprivation due to closure of facilities, service cuts, poverty and digital exclusion have access to essential services. It provides community-based activities that aim to improve confidence, self-esteem and wellbeing (physical and emotional) and includes activities such as physical activity sessions, creative activities, mindfulness sessions, direct access to independent information and advice and digital technology support.
We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic individual who is capable of working under pressure, providing frontline services, delivering activities, working with/supervising volunteers, raising the profile of the organisation, helping with fundraising and building up rapport/strong community relationships with our service users, partners and stakeholders.
Location: Alfred Street, Neath, SA11 1EH
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (job share considered)
Annual leave: 28 days plus statutory bank holidays (pro rata)
Salary: Circa £25,600 p.a.
Term: Initially funded until 31st March 2025 (with opportunity for extension)
